as far as ex's go, it's either one extreme or another you don't talk at all and never look back or you stay friends and then still kind of sort-of remain physically involved for a bit (or off and on until one of you gets engaged, married, or something), it seems as though this is taking the route of plan b, although you're missing out on the key part of that angle.
